1. Introduction
Stainless steel round bar belongs to the category of long products and also belongs to the category of bars. The so-called stainless steel round bar refers to a long product with a uniform circular cross section, generally about four meters long. It can be divided into smooth round and black bar. The so-called smooth round refers to a smooth surface that has been quasi-rolled; while the so-called black bar refers to a black and rough surface that has been directly hot-rolled. Common materials are 301, 304, 303, 316, 316L, 304L, 321.2520.201.202, etc.
2. Uses
Stainless steel round bar has broad application prospects and is widely used in hardware kitchenware, shipbuilding, petrochemicals, machinery, medicine, food, electricity, energy, aerospace, etc., and architectural decoration. Equipment for seawater, chemical, dye, papermaking, oxalic acid, fertilizer and other production equipment; photography, food industry, coastal facilities, ropes, CD rods, bolts, nuts.
3. Classification by material
1) 316L stainless steel round bar
Features: o1 The cold-rolled product has good gloss and is beautiful o2 Due to the addition of Mo, it has excellent corrosion resistance, especially pitting resistance o3 Excellent high temperature strength; excellent work hardening (weak magnetism after processing) o4 Non-magnetic in solid solution state
2) 310S stainless steel round bar
Features: 310S stainless steel is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel with good oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance. Due to the higher percentage of chromium and nickel, 310S has much better creep strength, can continue to operate at high temperatures, and has good high temperature resistance.
3) 304L stainless steel round bar
Performance: 304L stainless steel round bar is a variant of 304 stainless steel with a lower carbon content, used in occasions where welding is required. The lower carbon content minimizes the precipitation of carbides in the heat-affected zone near the weld, and the precipitation of carbides may cause intergranular corrosion (welding erosion) of stainless steel in certain environments.
4) 316 stainless steel round bar
Features: 316 stainless steel is the second most widely used steel after 304, mainly used in the food industry and surgical equipment. Due to the addition of Mo, its corrosion resistance, atmospheric corrosion resistance and high temperature strength are particularly good, and it can be used under harsh conditions; excellent work hardening (non-magnetic).
5) 321 stainless steel round bar
Features: Ti element is added to 304 steel to prevent intergranular corrosion, suitable for use at 430℃-900C. Except that the risk of rusting of the material weld is reduced due to the addition of titanium element, other properties are similar to 304
6) 304 stainless steel round bar
Features: 304 stainless steel is the most widely used chromium-nickel stainless steel with good corrosion resistance, heat resistance, low temperature strength and mechanical properties. It is corrosion-resistant in the atmosphere. If it is an industrial atmosphere or a heavily polluted area, it needs to be cleaned in time to avoid corrosion.
