Steel sheet piles are a type of steel structural material used for soil support, soil retaining, water retaining and other functions. They are widely used in various construction projects due to their high strength, quick installation and strong reusability. Steel sheet piles can be classified into multiple types according to their shape, purpose and material.

1. Classification by shape
U-shaped steel sheet piles

Features: U-shaped cross section, double piles are combined side by side to form a retaining wall, which is easy to install and has strong rigidity.
Use: Widely used in projects such as foundation pit support, retaining walls, and embankment reinforcement, suitable for support projects requiring medium strength.

Z-shaped steel sheet piles

Features: Z-shaped cross section, each pile can provide a large section modulus, and when they bite each other, they can form a continuous retaining wall with strong bearing capacity.
Use: Suitable for projects that require greater strength and bearing capacity, such as large ports, docks, river management, etc.

Straight sheet piles

Features: straight cross section, tight bite, good integrity, mainly used as continuous retaining walls.
Uses: used in hydraulic structures, tunnel support, underground continuous walls and other projects.

Combined steel sheet piles

Features: usually composed of two or more steel sheet piles, forming a larger section modulus and bearing capacity.

Uses: often used in support structures that require particularly strong, such as deep foundation pits, offshore buildings, etc.

2. Classification by material

Ordinary carbon steel sheet piles

Features: made of ordinary carbon steel, with good strength and economy.

Uses: used in general foundation pit support, temporary support, soil water retaining and other occasions.

High-strength steel sheet piles

Features: made of high-strength steel, with higher strength and durability.

Uses: used in deep foundation pits, ports, coastal projects and other occasions that require high-strength support.

Corrosion-resistant steel sheet piles

Features: the surface is treated with anti-corrosion, or made of corrosion-resistant steel, suitable for underwater or humid environments.

Uses: used in environments exposed to water for a long time, such as marine engineering, coastal buildings, and river dams.
