There are many standards for the thickness of the zinc layer of galvanized sheets, as follows:

‌Chinese standard‌:
Common galvanizing thickness standards include 70g/m2, 100g/m2, 120g/m2, 140g/m2 and 275g/m2. Among them, the thickness of 70g/m2 and 100g/m2 is suitable for general applications, while the thickness above 120g/m2 is more suitable for products with high requirements for corrosion resistance, such as pipes and profile steel.

‌International standard‌:
‌ISO standard‌: Common thickness standards include 0.18mm, 0.20mm, 0.22mm, 0.25mm, 0.30mm, 0.35mm and 0.40mm, etc.
‌ASTM standard‌: Common thickness standards include G60 and G90, where G60 represents a zinc layer weight of 8.2kg/㎡ and G90 represents a zinc layer weight of 27.6kg/㎡.
‌JIS standard‌: Common thickness standards include G3302 and G3313.

‌Hot-dip galvanizing method‌: The zinc layer is thicker, usually 60~300g/m² (single side).
‌Electroplating method‌: The zinc layer is thinner, usually 10~50g/m² (single side), with uniform and stable thickness and bright and smooth surface.
