It is widely used in food, pharmaceutical, and industrial product packaging. Its high reflectivity and smooth surface also make it important in construction, industrial protection, and other fields.
Aluminum foil classifications:
Based on thickness, it can be divided into thick foil, single-zero-degree foil, and double-zero-degree foil.
Based on shape, it can be divided into rolls and sheets. Most processed aluminum foil raw materials are supplied in rolls, with sheet aluminum foil only used in a few handicraft packaging applications.
Based on its state, it can be divided into hard foil, semi-hard foil, and soft foil.
Based on its surface finish, it can be divided into single-sided and double-sided smooth aluminum foil.
Based on its processing state, it can be divided into plain foil, embossed foil, composite foil, coated foil, colored foil, and printed aluminum foil. Soft aluminum foil can also be further pressed into 40% foil for high-end decoration.
Features of aluminum foil:
Aluminum foil has a clean, hygienic and shiny appearance. It can be integrated with many other packaging materials to make integrated packaging materials. The printing effect of aluminum foil surface is better than other materials. In addition, aluminum foil has the following characteristics:
(1) The surface is extremely clean and hygienic. No bacteria or microorganisms can grow on its surface.
(2) It is a non-toxic packaging material. It can be in direct contact with food without any harm to human health.
(3) It is a tasteless and odorless packaging material. It will not give the packaged food any odor.
(4) If the aluminum foil itself is non-volatile, it will never dry or shrink itself or the packaged food.
(5) No grease will penetrate the aluminum foil at high or low temperatures.
(6) Aluminum foil is a light-proof packaging material. Therefore, it is a good packaging material for products exposed to sunlight, such as margarine.
(7) It has good plasticity, so it can be used to package products of various shapes. It can also be made into containers of various shapes.
(8) It has high hardness and tensile strength, but its tear strength is low, so it is very easy to tear.
(9) Aluminum foil itself cannot be heat-sealed. It must be coated with a heat-resistant material, such as PE, to heat seal it.
(10) It may have adverse reactions when in contact with other heavy metals or heavy metals.
