Copper Strip Classification:
By Material Composition:
1. Pure Copper Strip: Copper content ≥ 99.9%, excellent electrical and thermal conductivity. Common grades include T1, T2 (ordinary pure copper), TU1, TU2 (oxygen-free copper), TP1, TP2 (phosphorus deoxidized copper). Primarily used in wires and cables, transformers, and electronic components.
2. Brass Strip: Copper-zinc alloy, with good mechanical properties and lower cost. Common grades include H62, H65, H68, etc.; leaded brass (such as HPb59-1) has excellent machinability. Widely used in connectors, heat sinks, and hardware.
3. Bronze Strip: Alloys of elements other than zinc and nickel (such as tin, aluminum, silicon, and beryllium). Tin-phosphorus bronze (QSn4-3) has good elasticity and is used for springs and contacts; aluminum bronze is wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant; beryllium copper has high strength and is used in high-end connectors.
4. Cupronickel Strip: A copper-nickel alloy, silvery-white in color, resistant to seawater corrosion. Common grades include B10 and B30, used in ship parts, precision instruments, and decoration.
By Processing Technology and State:
1. By Rolling Process: Divided into hot-rolled copper strip (thickness usually >3mm, relatively rough surface) and cold-rolled copper strip (thickness 0.05~3mm, high dimensional accuracy, bright surface, the mainstream in industry).
2. By Hardness State: Divided into soft (M), semi-hard (Y2), hard (Y), and extra-hard (T), with properties adjusted through cold working hardening or annealing.
By Special Purpose:
1. Electronic and Electrical Use: Copper strip for lead frames (e.g., C194, C7025), cable shielding strip, transformer winding strip.
2. Heat Dissipation and Structural Use: Brass strip for radiator cooling pipes, automotive radiator strip, building waterproofing strip.
3. Surface Treatment: Tin-plated copper strip, nickel-plated copper strip (enhancing weldability or corrosion resistance).
