Aluminum profiles are metallic materials made with aluminum as the base material and alloying elements such as copper, magnesium, and silicon. They possess low density, high thermal and electrical conductivity, and oxidation resistance. According to processing methods, aluminum profiles can be divided into wrought aluminum alloys (such as sheets, strips, and foils) and cast aluminum alloys (such as castings). According to alloy composition, aluminum profiles are divided into seven major series from 1xxx to 7xxx, with product forms including aluminum sheets, aluminum tubes, and aluminum profiles.

Aluminum profiles are widely used in construction (32%), transportation (22%), and power (12%). In the construction sector, they are used for door and window frames and roof panels, while in the transportation sector, they are used for lightweight automotive components and rail transit equipment. High-end aluminum materials have achieved technological breakthroughs in the aerospace field, such as aerospace-grade ultra-thick plates and ultra-wide aerospace plates.

Classification of Aluminum Profiles:

Electrophoretic Aluminum Profiles:

1. Extremely strong corrosion resistance: Highly resistant to corrosion, effectively preventing acid, alkali, and salt corrosion. The best variety for resisting mortar corrosion.

2. Satisfactory performance lifespan: Even in harsh environments, it can ensure a lifespan of over 50 years without corrosion, aging, fading, or peeling.

3. Smooth and delicate feel, bright and beautiful appearance, magnificent. Multiple colors are available.

4. High paint film hardness. Resistant to drawing with an aluminum pen with a hardness of 3H or higher.

Anodized Aluminum Profiles: The substrate is used as the anode and electrolyzed in an electrolyte solution, artificially forming a protective oxide film on the substrate surface, thus creating aluminum oxide.

Main characteristics of anodized aluminum profiles:

1. Strong wear resistance, weather resistance, and corrosion resistance.

2. Can form various colors on the substrate surface to best suit your requirements.

3. High hardness, suitable for the production of various building and industrial materials.

Rare Earth Foam Aluminum Profiles: Metal foam materials are a new type of engineering material that integrates physical functions and structure. Its various excellent physical properties have led to its widespread application in many fields such as sound absorption, vibration reduction, separation engineering, catalyst carriers, shielding protection, and energy absorption buffering. Among them, foam aluminum materials made of rare earth aluminum alloys are also considered a promising material for future automobiles, ships, and other transportation vehicles.

Architectural Aluminum Profiles: Building products made of aluminum and aluminum alloys. They are usually first processed into castings, forgings, aluminum foils, aluminum plates, strips, tubes, aluminum rods, and profiles, and then manufactured through processes such as cold bending, sawing, drilling, assembly, and coloring.

Purchasing Aluminum Profiles: Consumers should pay attention to the following points when purchasing and using aluminum alloy architectural profiles:

1. Check the product’s certificate of conformity, noting the manufacturing date, specifications, technical conditions, company name, and production license number.

2. Carefully inspect the surface condition of the aluminum profiles. The products should have bright colors and good gloss, and the surface should be free of obvious scratches, bubbles, and other defects.

3. Pay close attention to the wall thickness of the aluminum profiles. The thickness of door and window profiles should not be less than 1.2mm.

4. Pay attention to the thickness of the surface coating of the aluminum profiles. The film thickness of anodized products should not be less than 10μm, the film thickness of electrophoretic coating products should not be less than 17μm, the coating thickness of powder coating should not exceed the range of 40-120μm, and fluorocarbon paint products should have at least two coats and should not be less than 30μm.

5. Users in coastal areas should preferably choose electrophoretic coated, powder coated, or fluorocarbon coated aluminum profiles with better corrosion resistance.

Aluminum Profile Maintenance:

1. For daily maintenance, do not use brushes or other hard objects as cleaning tools; use soft cotton yarn and cloth.

2. Water, dish soap, and detergent can be used for cleaning, but other organic substances should not be used.
