Description

ASTM A210 Boiler Tubes include seamless steel tubes with small wall thickness for boiler tubes, boiler flue tubes, safety ends, domes and support tubes, and superheater tubes. The production methods of steel tubes under ASTM A210/ASME SA210 standards include hot rolling, cold drawing and hot expansion. The delivery state is usually hot rolled or heat treated. Features of the ASTM A210 Boiler Tube:

ASTM A210 Boiler Tube grades are A-1 and C. The chemical composition of these two grades of steel tubes is somewhat different, but they are strictly controlled within a certain range to ensure the quality and performance of the steel tubes. For example, the content of carbon (C) is limited in both grades, while the content of elements such as manganese (Mn), silicon (Si), phosphorus (P) and sulfur (S) are also clearly specified. In particular, for the A-1 grade, the carbon content is as high as 0.27%, and the manganese content is between 0.29% and 0.93%;

for the C grade of ASTM A210 Boiler Tube, although the carbon content is lower, the manganese content is relatively high, and other alloying elements may also be included to improve its performance.

The ASTM A210/ASME SA210 standard also clearly specifies the mechanical properties of steel pipes. These properties include tensile strength, yield strength and elongation. For example, the tensile strength of the A-1 grade steel pipe is not less than 415MPa, the yield strength is not less than 255MPa, and the elongation is not less than 30%; while the C grade steel pipe has higher tensile strength and yield strength, which are not less than 485MPa and 275MPa respectively, and the elongation is also maintained above 30%. These mechanical properties ensure the reliability and durability of steel pipes in boilers and superheaters.
