Classification of Hollow Brass Tubes:

1. Ordinary Hollow Brass Tubes: Composed only of copper (Cu) and zinc (Zn). Common grades include H96, H90, H80, H70, H68, H65, and H62, where the numbers represent the percentage of copper content (e.g., H62 contains approximately 62% copper). H65 has the best ductility, while H62 has high strength and is the most widely used.

2. Special Hollow Brass Tubes (Special Brasses): Based on copper and zinc, elements such as lead, tin, manganese, nickel, and aluminum are added to enhance specific properties.

– Lead brass (e.g., HPb59-1): Excellent machinability, commonly used in instrument components.

– Tin brass (e.g., HSn70-1, HSn62-1): Strong resistance to seawater corrosion, specifically used in marine condensers and heat exchangers.
