Industrial aluminum profile, also known as industrial extruded aluminum profile or industrial aluminum alloy profiles, are aluminum materials with different cross-sectional shapes obtained by hot melting and extrusion of aluminum rods. The mechanical properties and application areas vary depending on the proportion of alloys added.
Industrial aluminum profiles generally refer to all aluminum profiles except those used for building doors and windows, curtain walls, decoration, and building structures. They are widely used in transportation, photovoltaics, construction machinery, aerospace, and medical devices.
After oxidation, industrial aluminum profiles have a clean appearance, are resistant to dirt, and are easy to clean after being coated with oil. When assembling products, different specifications of profiles are used according to different load-bearing requirements, along with matching aluminum profile accessories. Welding is not required, making installation and disassembly convenient.
Industrial aluminum profiles can be classified by material grade. Series 2 aluminum profiles are mainly used in military and wheel components; Series 5 aluminum profiles are characterized by good weldability and high structural strength; Series 6 aluminum profiles are widely used, mainly in industrial structures and electronic casings; and Series 7 aluminum profiles are mainly used in automotive, shipbuilding, and aerospace materials.

Industrial aluminum profiles possess advantages such as low density, high plasticity, excellent mechanical properties, and easy recyclability, making them widely used in industries such as transportation, photovoltaics, construction machinery, aerospace, and medical devices, with particularly extensive applications in transportation.
Industrial aluminum profiles are commonly used to construct various structural components on automated production lines, such as robot arms, conveyor belt frames, control system housings, workbenches, and protective covers, due to their excellent mechanical properties and ease of installation and disassembly.
In the transportation sector, industrial aluminum profiles are a key material for achieving lightweighting, with specific applications including: automotive lightweighting (body, battery modules), high-speed rail carriages (such as the “Fuxing” bullet train), subway conductive busbars, aluminum alloys for high-speed ships and offshore platforms, and aerospace materials.
In the new energy sector, industrial aluminum profiles are mainly used in photovoltaic power station brackets, motor housings and components for new energy vehicles, etc.
In mechanical engineering, industrial aluminum profiles are used in construction machinery, medical devices, industrial fences, and warehouse racking. It should be noted that the term “industrial aluminum profiles” in a broad sense typically does not include aluminum profiles used in building structures such as doors and windows, curtain walls, and interior and exterior decoration. In the electronics and electrical appliance industry, industrial aluminum profiles can be used to manufacture the casings of consumer electronics, heat sink profiles, and other conductive components.
