They are mainly classified into hot-rolled square steel and cold-drawn square steel (including special materials such as stainless steel) based on their manufacturing process and material. Classification of Square Steel Bars:

1. By Manufacturing Process: Hot-rolled Square Steel Bar (side length 5–250mm, fine grain, suitable for structural components); Cold-drawn Square Steel Bar (side length 3–100mm, smooth surface, high dimensional accuracy, used for precision parts);

2. By Material: Carbon structural steel square bars (e.g., Q235, general structural steel); Low-alloy high-strength square bars (e.g., Q345, load-bearing components); Stainless steel square bars (e.g., 304/316, corrosion resistant, used for decorative or chemical applications); Alloy steel square steel bars (for special performance requirements);

3. By Surface Condition/Application: Includes black-skinned square bars (untreated), hot-dip galvanized/epoxy-coated square bars (corrosion resistant), twisted square bars (for enhanced concrete bond strength), etc.

Applications of Square Steel Bars:

2. Construction and Engineering: Square steel bars are used in light steel frames, roof trusses, scaffolding, steel grating (especially twisted square steel, which can replace threaded steel to reinforce concrete ties), and architectural decoration (stainless steel square bars are used for doors, windows, handrails, and other finishing details).
