Channel Steel
Channel steel is a carbon structural steel with a U-shaped or C-shaped cross-section. Its core characteristics include high bending stiffness, light weight, ease of processing, and strong adaptability. It is commonly used in building supports, mechanical frames, and bridge components. Because of its light weight, high strength, good rigidity and corrosion resistance, channel steel has been widely used in modern industry and construction fields. Our company can produce and supply various specifications of profiles, H Beam Steel , I beam, Angle steel and other high-quality manufacturers, product quality is reliable, good service. We look forward to working with you.

Channel steel is a long strip of steel with a groove-shaped cross-section. It is a carbon structural steel used in construction and machinery. It is a profile steel with a complex cross-section and has a groove-shaped cross-section, is mainly used in building structures, curtain wall engineering, mechanical equipment and vehicle manufacturing.
Classification:
1. Ordinary Channel Steel: The most commonly used, hot-rolled specifications 5-40, widely used in building structures, vehicle manufacturing, and industrial equipment.
2. Lightweight Channel Steel: Wide legs and thin walls, lighter weight, better economical, mainly used in building steel frame structures.
Differences in Shape and Manufacturing Process:
1. Hot-rolled Channel Steel: Standard groove cross-section, available in ordinary and lightweight types, best used upright for load-bearing.
2. Cold-formed Channel Steel: Different processes result in four shapes: equal-sided, unequal-sided, inward-rolled, and outward-rolled.
Differences in Material:
1. Carbon Steel Channel Steel: Made of carbon or low-alloy steel, high strength, suitable for general construction and mechanical engineering.
2. Stainless Steel Channel Steel: Commonly used materials such as 304 and 316, corrosion-resistant, suitable for building curtain walls or humid environments.
In terms of specifications, sizes 5-16 are considered medium-sized, and sizes 18-40 are considered large-sized. The model number represents the waist height in centimeters.
European standard (UPN UPE Channel Steel): UPN80, UPN100, UPN120, UPN140, UPN160, UPN180, UPN200, UPN220, UPN240, UPN260, UPN280, UPN300
British standard: PFC (Parallel Flange Channel PFC Channel Steel)
American standard: C3*4.1-C15*50, such as ASTM A36 A992 A572 MC Channel Steel and ASTM A36 A992 A572 C Channel Steel.
Applications:
1. Building scaffolding: Used for factory columns, curtain wall supports, and scaffolding channel steel layers. It increases the contact area, prevents settlement, and provides support and reinforcement.
2. Vehicle and machinery manufacturing: Used for heavy vehicle bodies, machinery bases, and frames, utilizing its excellent torsional and bending resistance.
3. Other industrial applications: Often used in conjunction with I-beams for bridges, fixed cabinets, or pipe supports. Construction is simple and the steel can be reused.
