Electro galvanized steel wire is a layer of zinc deposited onto the surface of steel through electrolysis. Cold-dip galvanizing, performed at temperatures below 100°C, prevents deformation and damage. Electro galvanized steel wire boasts a uniform, bright surface, excellent corrosion resistance, and excellent ductility.

Electro-galvanized steel wire is widely used in various fields, including construction, handicrafts, wire mesh, packaging, and household goods.

Features of Electro Galvanized Steel Wire:

1. Low Cost. Compared to hot-dip galvanized steel wire, electro-galvanized steel wire has a significantly lower production cost, resulting in a more affordable price.

2. Bright and Smooth Appearance. Electro galvanized steel wire utilizes a thin zinc coating, resulting in a smooth, glossy silvery-white surface with a slight yellow hue. It offers excellent decorative properties and is highly sought after by customers.

3. Excellent Corrosion Resistance. The zinc coating forms a dense zinc carbonate film on the surface of the galvanized steel wire, effectively protecting the interior from corrosion and providing excellent rust resistance.

4. The coating is relatively pure and durable. The pure zinc layer is non-porous and corrodes slowly in acidic and alkaline mists, effectively protecting the steel wire substrate.

5. It has excellent ductility. It can be formed through processes such as cold stamping, rolling, and bending without damaging the coating.

Applications of Electro Galvanized Steel Wire

Electro Galvanized Steel Wire is not as corrosion-resistant as hot-dip Galvanized Steel Wire. Therefore, it is not recommended for use in corrosive environments. However, due to its affordable price and smooth surface, it is widely used in construction, decoration, industry, agriculture, barriers, and isolation. Electro Galvanized Steel Wire is typically used to make wire mesh, fencing, wire rope, cables, clothes hangers, filter baskets, barbed wire, and tie wire.
