Description

316Ti Stainless Steel Rod Bar is an austenitic stainless steel rod or stainless steel bar with added titanium. It possesses excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion, good high-temperature stability, and resistance to pitting corrosion due to its molybdenum content. Suitable for harsh environments where post-weld heat treatment is not possible, it is primarily used in chemical, marine engineering, energy, and medical fields.

Features of 316Ti Stainless Steel Rod Bar:

1. Outstanding Resistance to Intergranular Corrosion: The addition of titanium (Ti≥5×C% and ≤0.70%) to 316Ti Stainless Steel Rod Bar forms titanium carbide, fixing carbon and preventing chromium carbide precipitation, significantly reducing the risk of sensitization. Post-weld annealing is typically unnecessary.

2. Comprehensive Corrosion Resistance: Retaining molybdenum (1.8%-2.5%), it exhibits superior resistance to pitting and stress corrosion cracking compared to 304 Stainless Steel Rod Bar/316 Stainless Steel Rod Bar in sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, acetic acid, and marine chloride ion environments.

3. Stable High-Temperature Performance: 316Ti Stainless Steel Rod Bar has a wide operating temperature range (approximately -198°C to 816°C), maintains high mechanical property retention at high temperatures, and is suitable for long-term high-temperature service.

4. Reliable Mechanical Properties: 316Ti Stainless Steel Rod Bar has a yield strength ≥205MPa, tensile strength ≥515-530MPa, and elongation ≥35%-40%, combining strength and ductility.

5. Machining and Welding Friendly: 316Ti Stainless Steel Rod Bar has a non-magnetic austenitic structure, supporting machining, hot forming, and various welding processes. Post-weld heat treatment is generally not required.

4. Medical Devices and Pharmaceuticals: Used in the fabrication of surgical instruments, some implants, and pharmaceutical sanitary piping, utilizing their excellent biocompatibility and resistance to cleaning corrosion.

5. Other Industrial Components: 316Ti Stainless Steel Rod Bars are used in papermaking, food processing equipment, and aerospace fasteners, in applications requiring high strength, heat resistance, and post-weld desensitization.
