Corrugated roofing steel sheet, also known as corrugated steel plate, roofing steel sheet, wave-shaped steel sheet, or color-coated corrugated steel sheet, is a thin steel sheet with a surface pressed into a continuous wavy shape (such as V-shape, U-shape, or trapezoidal shape). Corrugated Metal Roofing Sheet is mainly used for building roofs or wall cladding, and common materials are galvanized steel sheet, aluminized zinc steel sheet, or color-coated steel sheet.

Features of Corrugated Roofing Steel Sheet:

1. Structural Features: The corrugated design significantly improves bending stiffness and load-bearing capacity, allowing for large-span coverage without additional reinforcement (typically with a wave height of 15–70mm), while also facilitating drainage and preventing water accumulation.

2. Common Materials: The base material of corrugated roofing steel sheet is mostly 0.3–1.5mm thick cold-rolled steel sheet, with a surface treated by hot-dip galvanizing (rust prevention) or color coating (decorative + weather resistance). “Glass sheet” refers to galvanized corrugated steel sheet, while “color-coated steel sheet” usually refers to color-coated profiled sheet.

3. Installation Points: Overlapping must be done in the direction of the prevailing wind (overlap ≥ 1 wave, top and bottom ≥ 80mm), bolts fixed to the crests and equipped with waterproof washers; for larger spans, an “arched corrugated steel roof” (beam-less purlin structure, span 6–40 meters) can be selected.

1. Industrial Buildings: Corrugated Roofing Steel Sheet is widely used for large-span (typically 6–40 meters) roofs in factories, warehouses, hangars, workshops, etc., due to its beam-less and purlin-less design, fast construction, and resistance to wind and snow (withstanding winds of 160 km/h and snow loads of 148 kg/m²).

2. Agricultural Facilities: Corrugated roofing steel sheets are used in grain silos, greenhouses, and livestock sheds, providing insulation (can be combined with polyurethane spraying), light transmission, and corrosion resistance.

3. Public and Commercial Buildings: Corrugated roofing steel sheets are suitable for stadiums, exhibition halls, schools, farmers’ markets, etc., featuring streamlined shapes and rich colors to meet the needs of rapid construction and aesthetics.

4. Temporary/Emergency and Renovation Projects: Such as post-disaster temporary housing, adding floors to old buildings, and landscape pavilions and corridors, due to their lightweight, modular design, and convenient installation (approximately 15-20 days to complete 10,000 square meters).

5. Special Structures: In some projects, they are used as lateral force-resistant corrugated steel sheet walls (not roofs), or processed into corrugated steel pipes, culverts, bridge decks, etc.
