NM450 Wear Resistant Steel Plate
NM450 Wear Resistant Steel Plate is a high-strength, wear-resistant steel plate. “450” represents its average Brinell hardness of approximately 450 HBW, and it primarily conforms to the GB/T 24186 standard. It can replace international products such as SSAB HARDOX 450, JFE NK-EH450, and DILLIDUR 450V.
Description
NM450 Wear Resistant Steel Plate is a high-strength, wear-resistant steel plate. “450” represents its average Brinell hardness of approximately 450 HBW, and it primarily conforms to the GB/T 24186 standard. It can replace international products such as SSAB HARDOX 450, JFE NK-EH450, and DILLIDUR 450V.
Features of NM450 Wear Resistant Steel Plate:
1. High Hardness and Wear Resistance: NM450 Wear Resistant Steel Plate has a surface hardness ≥450 HBW (actually typically 450–520 HBW), and its wear resistance is 15–20 times that of ordinary low-carbon steel plates, making it suitable for applications with strong abrasive wear.
2. High Strength and Good Toughness: NM450 Wear Resistant Steel Plate has a yield strength ≥950 MPa and a tensile strength ≥1180 MPa, while also possessing good ductility (elongation ≥8%) and low-temperature impact toughness (≥20–24 J at -20°C).
3. Alloying and Heat Treatment: NM450 Wear Resistant Steel Plate is manufactured using a medium-to-high carbon alloy (≈0.25–0.35%) with alloying elements such as Cr, Mo, and Ni, and is produced through a quenching and tempering process to ensure uniform core and surface properties.
4. Machinability: NM450 Wear Resistant Steel Plate can be laser-cut, drilled, and bent (requiring appropriate processes). Preheating and the use of high-strength welding materials (such as ER100S-G) are required during welding to prevent cracking. Common thicknesses are 8–60 mm (some manufacturers can achieve 100 mm), and widths are 1500–3000 mm.
Applications of NM450 Wear Resistant Steel Plate:
1. Construction Machinery: NM450 Wear Resistant Steel Plate is used for excavator bucket plates, bucket bottom plates, bulldozer cutting edges, loader tooth plates, and dump truck bed bottom plates;
2. Mining and Coal Mining Machinery: Crusher liners (jaw plates, impact plates), ball mill liners, scraper conveyor troughs, skips, and screen plates;
3. Metallurgical and Power Equipment: Sintering machine liners, coal mill cylinders, ash ducts, dust collector liners, and chutes;
4. Building Materials and Environmental Protection Machinery: Concrete mixer liners, brick making machine molds, cyclone dust collectors, and hoppers;
5. Other Heavy-Duty Wear-Resistant Components: Railway frogs, port machinery grabs, shot blasting machine liners, and wear-resistant bearing structural components.
