Precision Steel Pipe
Precision steel pipe is a high-precision, high-brightness seamless steel pipe produced by cold drawing or cold rolling. Its inner and outer diameters can be accurate to within 0.2mm. While ensuring bending and torsional strength, it is light in weight, so it is widely used in the manufacture of precision mechanical parts and engineering structures. It is also commonly used to produce various conventional weapons, barrels, shells, bearings, etc.
Description
Precision steel pipe is a high-precision, high-brightness seamless steel pipe produced by cold drawing or cold rolling. Its inner and outer diameters can be accurate to within 0.2mm. While ensuring bending and torsional strength, it is light in weight, so it is widely used in the manufacture of precision mechanical parts and engineering structures. It is also commonly used to produce various conventional weapons, barrels, shells, bearings, etc.
Commonly used materials are ST52, Q345B, CK20, CK45, SAE1026 10#、20#、35#、45#、20cr、40Cr、20CrMo﹑16mn﹑27simn﹑304﹑201﹑310s, high-quality carbon structural steel.
Characteristics of precision steel pipes:
1. Smaller outer diameter.
2. High precision can be used for small batch production.
3. The cold drawn finished product has high precision and good surface quality.
4. The cross-sectional area of the steel pipe is more complex.
5. The performance of the steel pipe is superior, and the metal is relatively dense.
Applications of Precision Steel Pipe:
Precision steel pipes are widely used in fields with stringent requirements for dimensional stability and sealing due to their high precision (outer diameter/wall thickness tolerance can reach ±0.02–0.05mm), high surface finish (Ra≤0.4μm), high pressure resistance, oxide-free structure, and resistance to deformation after cold bending.
1. Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems: Precision steel pipes are used to manufacture hydraulic cylinders, air cylinders, hydraulic supports, and high-pressure pipelines (such as in construction machinery, injection molding machines, and die-casting equipment), ensuring leak-free operation and impact resistance.
2. Automotive and Rail Transportation: Precision steel pipes are used in engine fuel/intake/exhaust pipelines, transmission components, chassis suspension, braking systems, and battery cooling pipelines in new energy vehicles.
3. Mechanical Manufacturing and Bearings: Precision steel pipes are used in high-precision bushings, jack cylinders, bearing raceways, and machine tool guide mandrels, reducing machining allowances and improving assembly efficiency and lifespan.
4. Aerospace and Military: Precision steel pipes are used in aircraft landing gear hydraulic components, missile guides, and engine fuel injection systems, requiring compliance with extreme environmental and lightweight requirements (some are made of stainless steel or alloy steel).
5. Semiconductor and Medical Devices: Cleanroom gas/liquid delivery pipes (316L precision stainless steel pipes), endoscope components, and anastomosis device components, requiring high cleanliness, corrosion resistance, and no shedding.
6. Energy and Petrochemicals: Boiler superheater tubes, heat exchanger tube bundles, and chemical reactor piping (pressure-resistant and corrosion-resistant, such as 16Mn and alloy steel), and some are used in nuclear power plant cooling circuits.
7. Other high-end fields: Precision steel pipes are used in precision instrument frames, robot joint axes, offshore platform piping, and wind turbine pitch bearing housings (commonly cold-drawn seamless or welded bright tubes).
