Its light weight, while maintaining comparable bending and torsional strength, makes it widely used in the manufacture of mechanical parts and engineering structures.
316L Stainless Steel Tube is a stainless steel grade produced in accordance with ASTM standards. Its corresponding national standard designation is 00Cr17Ni14Mo2, the old national standard designation is 022Cr17Ni12Mo2, and the unified numerical code is S31603 (GB/T14976-2012).
Features of 316L Stainless Steel Tube:
316L Stainless Steel Tube exhibits excellent performance even under high-temperature conditions, with high strength and good creep resistance. 316L Stainless Steel Tube can be formed and processed through a variety of methods, including cold working and hot working, making it suitable for the manufacture of various complex structures and components. 316L Stainless Steel Tube also offers excellent weldability and can be welded using all standard welding methods, such as TIG and MIG. The welded joints are strong and leak-tight.
The primary difference in chemical composition between 316L stainless steel tube and 304 stainless steel tube is that 316L stainless steel tube contains Mo. This makes 316L stainless steel tube more corrosion-resistant, even at high temperatures, than 304 stainless steel tube.
In addition, 316L stainless steel tube exhibits excellent toughness and oxidation resistance, enabling long-term stable operation in harsh chemical environments. These properties have made it widely used in the chemical industry, desalination, medical treatment, construction, and other fields, making it an indispensable material in these fields.
