Copper materials are a general term for materials made of pure copper or copper alloys, including rods, wires, plates, strips, tubes, and foils. They are processed and shaped through rolling, extrusion, and drawing methods. Based on alloy composition, they can be classified into red copper, brass, bronze, and cupronickel. Red copper has excellent electrical conductivity, brass has outstanding processing performance, bronze has strong wear resistance, and cupronickel combines corrosion resistance with high strength. Main product forms include copper plates, copper rods, copper tubes, copper strips, copper wires, and copper busbars, widely used in power transmission, machinery manufacturing, building pipelines, and emerging fields such as new energy vehicles, wind power, and photovoltaics.

4. Copper Strip
Copper strip is a metal component, available in various tempers from 0.1 to 3 mm and 50 to 250 mm in size. It is primarily used in the production of electrical components, lamp holders, battery caps, buttons, seals, and connectors, serving as a conductive, thermally conductive, and corrosion-resistant material. Examples include electrical components, switches, washers, gaskets, vacuum components, radiators, conductive base materials, and various parts such as automotive radiators, heat sinks, and cylinder plates.

5. Copper Wire
It has good electrical and thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, and processing properties. It can be welded and brazed. It contains relatively few impurities that reduce electrical and thermal conductivity. Trace amounts of oxygen have little impact on electrical and thermal conductivity and processing properties, but it is prone to “hydrogen slag.” It is not suitable for processing (annealing, welding, etc.) and use in high-temperature (e.g., >370℃) reducing atmospheres.

Applications of copper products:
Copper is mainly used for making wires, electrical appliances, building pipes, and various machine parts because of its good conductivity, corrosion resistance, and ease of processing.
1. Power transmission: Copper is widely used in household wires, cables, and motor transformers, accounting for nearly half of industrial demand. 2. Electronic Equipment: Mobile phone and computer circuit boards require copper foil, and communication equipment also relies on copper wires to transmit signals.
3. Piping Systems: Copper pipes are corrosion-resistant and hygienic, commonly used for water supply or heating pipes, and are more durable than plastic pipes.
4. Decorative Hardware: High-end roofing, door handles, and faucet locks often use brass, which is durable and aesthetically pleasing.
5. Mechanical Parts: Copper alloys are used in automobile radiators, ship propellers, and bearings and gears, as they are wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant.
6. Other Uses: Copper ions have antibacterial properties and are used in medical equipment; copper alloys are also used in ancient and modern coins.
