Description
Bulb flat bar, also as known Hot Rolled Bulb Flat Bar, Steel Bulb Flats, is a medium-section bar mainly used in the fields of shipbuilding and bridge building. Marine ball flat steel is an auxiliary medium-section bar for shipbuilding. Generally, the main hulls of larger ships and regular ships are mostly made of marine spherical flat steel, and the spherical flat steel with the same thickness and material as the connected plates is used as the frame material (also called ribs or keels).

Standards for flat bulb steel: GB/T9945-2012, EN10067:1996, JIS G3192, ISO 657-19.
Bulb flat steel material corresponds to shipbuilding steel plates, which are divided into ordinary strength (Grade A, Grade B, Grade D, etc.) and high strength (AH32, AH36, DH32, DH36, etc.). Ship plates certified by different classification societies need to be used together. Bulb flat steel is certified by different classification societies.
Applications of Bulb Flat Bars:
1. Shipbuilding: This is the core application of Bulb Flat Bars, primarily used as reinforcing ribs (skeleton) in ship plates.
Specific Applications: Used in ship skeletons, bulkheads, deck supports, especially in the ribs and longitudinals of cargo ships, container ships, and large cruise ships.
