Description

2B Finish Stainless Steel Sheet is a silvery-white matte surface formed after cold rolling, annealing, pickling, and light finishing (quenching and tempering). It has moderate gloss and good flatness, suitable for subsequent processing or industrial applications.

Characteristics of 2B Finish Stainless Steel Sheet:

1. The surface of 2B Finish Stainless Steel Sheet has a uniform matte finish (not mirror-like, not brushed), with a slight but not intense reflective sheen;

2. The flatness and smoothness of 2B Finish Stainless Steel Sheet are superior to 2D and NO.1, but lower than BA (bright annealed) or NO.4 brushed;

3. The corrosion resistance of 2B Finish Stainless Steel Sheet depends on the base material grade (e.g., 304/2B stainless steel sheet, 430/2B stainless steel sheets);

4. Easy to weld and bend, suitable for stamping and deep drawing; economical price, making it the most commonly used cold-rolled stainless steel sheet base surface.

Applications of 2B Finish Stainless Steel Sheet:

1. 2B Finish Stainless Steel Sheet is widely used in industrial and semi-finished product applications such as kitchenware, washing equipment, chemical storage tanks, pharmaceutical machinery, pressure vessels, appliance liners, and building structural components, where aesthetics are not a primary concern but corrosion resistance and subsequent polishing/coating/etching are required.

2. It is also used as a substrate for high-end finishes such as 8K mirror and HL brushed finishes.

3. Common substrates for 2B Finish Stainless Steel Sheet include 304/2B (austenitic, excellent corrosion resistance) and 430/2B (ferritic, high cost-effectiveness, good thermal conductivity). The “2B” designation only refers to the surface condition and does not change the intrinsic properties of the substrate. For long-term exposed decorative applications (such as curtain walls and high-end elevators), NO.4, HL, or BA surfaces should be selected.

2B	The surface brightness and flatness of no2B is better than no2D. then through a special surface treatment to improve its mechanical properties,No2B could nearly satisfy comprehensive uses.
No.1	Polished with abrasive belt of grit#100-#200, have better brightness with discontinuous coarse stria, used as inner and external ornaments for building, electrical appliances and kitchen utensils etc.
No.4	Polished with abrasive belt of grit #150-#180,have better brightness with discontinuous coarse stria, but thinner than No3, are used as bathtub buildings inner and external ornaments electrical appliances kitchen utensils and food processing equipment etc.
HL	Polished with abrasive belt of grit #150-#320 on the NO.4 finish and has continuous streaks, mainly used as buildings ornaments elevators, door of building, frontal plate etc.
BA	Cold rolled, bright annealed and skin-passed, the product have excellent brightness and good reflexivity like mirror, kitchen apparatus, ornament etc.
8K	The product have excellent brightness and prefer reflexivity can to be the mirror.
