Flat Stainless Steel Bar refers to solid stainless steel bars with a rectangular cross-section. It is mainly used to manufacture load-bearing components, connectors, supports, ladders, flanges, and mechanical parts, and is widely used in building curtain walls, shipbuilding, chemical equipment, and food machinery.

Classification of Flat Stainless Steel Bars:

Classification by manufacturing process and surface condition:

1. Cold-drawn and polished Flat Stainless Steel Bar: Cold-drawn and polished, with a bright (silver-bright) surface and high dimensional accuracy, suitable for precision machinery, decorative parts, etc.

2. Hot-rolled pickled/sandblasted Flat Stainless Steel Bar: Hot-rolled and then pickled or sandblasted, with a matte white or rough (black) surface, relatively loose dimensional tolerances, suitable for structural supports, engineering components, etc.

Classification by Material Grade:

1. Austenitic Flat Stainless Steel Bar: The most common type, such as 201, 304, 304L, 316, 316L, etc. It has good corrosion resistance and is widely used.

2. Ferritic Flat Stainless Steel Bar: Such as the 430 series. It has strong magnetic properties, is resistant to chloride stress corrosion, and has a lower cost.

3. Duplex Flat Stainless Steel Bar: Such as 2205, 2507. It combines high strength and excellent corrosion resistance, and is used in harsh environments.

4. Martensitic/Precipitation Hardening Flat Stainless Steel Bar: Such as 410, 630, etc. It can be strengthened through heat treatment and is used for cutting tools or high-strength components.

5. Machinery and Components: Processed into shafts, connecting rods, springs, clamps, and fasteners, suitable for automotive exhaust systems, elevator guide rails, and precision electronic support structures.
