I Beam Steel
I beam steel is a hot-rolled or welded steel section with an “I”-shaped cross-section. It is mainly divided into ordinary I-beams, lightweight I-beams, and wide-flange I-beams (often mistakenly called H-beams).
The core characteristics of I beam steel are its high and narrow cross-section, approximately 1:6 slope on the inner flange, strong bending resistance but weaker torsional and lateral stiffness.
