Hot Rolled Steel Sheet Pile (HSP) is a type of steel structural member formed through a high-temperature rolling process, featuring interlocking edges. It can be interlocked to form continuous retaining/water-retaining walls. Main types include U-shaped, Z-shaped, and straight-web type (often called “straight type”).
Steel sheet piles are interlocking steel structural members that can interlock to form continuous retaining/water-retaining walls. Their core characteristics are high strength, good water-stopping properties, fast construction, and reusability.
Based on manufacturing process, they are divided into hot-rolled steel sheet piles (the mainstream) and cold-formed thin-walled steel sheet piles (supplementary). Based on cross-sectional shape, they are mainly classified as U-shaped, Z-shaped, straight (straight web), and L-shaped, etc.
U Type Steel Sheet Pile is also called Larsen Steel Sheet Pile. As a new type of building material, it is used as retaining wall, water retaining wall and sand retaining wall in bridge cofferdam, large pipeline laying and temporary ditch excavation; it is used as retaining wall, retaining wall and embankment protection wall in docks and unloading yards, playing an important role in engineering.
Z Type Steel Sheet Pile is a commonly used steel sheet pile, which belongs to building materials. The lock of Z-type steel sheet pile is symmetrically distributed on both sides of the neutral axis, and the continuity of the web makes the section modulus of the steel sheet pile greatly improved, thereby ensuring that the mechanical properties of the section are fully utilized.
